The RX-2 Classic Salon Grand was one of the most popular models of the award-winning RX Series line of grand pianos first introduced in 1995. As a collection, they were chosen "Acoustic Piano Line of the Year" by MMR Magazine in 2003, 2004 and 2005. The Kawai RX Series grand pianos have long been revered for their outstanding touch and tone. The Ultra-Responsive Action with ABS Styran found in all RX models was far superior to the conventional all-wooden actions found on most other pianos.
